Focused on giving clinicians the time, space, and coaching to build comfort with high-acuity, low occurrence procedures they need but rarely get to practice.

You’ll rotate through focused stations in small groups, with direct feedback from instructors who understand real-world challenges.

​What You'll Learn 

​

  • Stations are selected based on a pre-course needs assessment​

  • 5 Skills covered per 4 hour course
  • Skills may include ​
    • Chest tube insertion

    • Central line (ultrasound-guided)

    • Awake intubation 

    • Airway management (intubation, RSI prep, BVM)

    • Lateral canthotomy

    • Blakemore insertion and setup

    • Lumbar puncture

    • Pericardiocentesis

    • Paracentesis 

    • And more..

Who Should Attend

  • Physicians, NPs, and PAs in emergency and critical care

  • RNs welcome to attend stations relevant to their scope

  • Clinicians preparing for high-acuity or rural practice

Course Details 

​

  • Duration: 4 hours per session

  • Often delivered in two back-to-back sessions for groups (total of up to 20 participants)

  • Capacity: Up to 10 participants per session (20 max across two sessions)

  • Certification: 10 Mainpro+ Certified Credits per 4-hour session
