OUR TEAM

Real Clinicians. Real PASSION. Real Impact.

At Dynamic Simulation, our team is made up of emergency physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and educators who live the realities of acute care every day. We know what it’s like to face high-stakes situations with limited time, limited resources, and no margin for error—because we’ve been there.

Together, we bring that experience into every simulation, helping teams build confidence, strengthen communication, and deliver safer care when it matters most.

SHAWN SEGEREN, MD CCFP(EM)

FOUNDER & MEDICAL DIRECTOR

For Shawn, simulation has never been about education for its own sake—it has always been about improving outcomes. Early in his career, working in a busy community emergency department, he saw how quickly even experienced teams could struggle when communication faltered or systems weren’t aligned. Those moments shaped his conviction that the best way to strengthen acute care wasn’t just through individual skill, but through realistic, team-based practice in the environments where care happens.

Dynamic Simulation was born from that passion. Shawn is driven by the belief that every clinician and every team should be prepared to step into high-stakes situations with confidence, clarity, and connection. His work is about helping hospitals strengthen performance, supporting clinicians to feel sharper on shift, and building safer systems across Ontario.
